The Seattle Humane Society is prepared to assist pets when families are affected by disasters such as floods, fires and power outages. We stand ready to help members of the public whose homes are at risk of flooding due to the potential failure of the Howard A. Hanson Dam on the Green River.Authorities warned this week that a leak in one of the dam abutments boosted the potential risk of flooding for residents of Kent, Renton, Tukwila and Auburn.
